I’m a 💯 Sassy Muslimah Mummy trying to be on a flexitarian diet and trying oil free cooking. I’m keeping my recipes here to keep reminding myself that these can be done and achieved. Hubs is going vegetarian for now and so that will be the bulk of my dishes above, I’m sure.
I have always grown up loving vegetables, having a great Dad who insists on us taking our green vegetables and trying some of them raw like carrots and Ulam just like he does. And so I’m good at trying out all my purples and greens I’m game for those! Some, I notice like the purple carrot, purple sweet potato etc they have such a unique taste oh I love them so😻.
My influences are mainly Malay & Asian dishes & recipes. I love to tweak and infuse the traditional dishes with some hint or sense of modernity and nowness, we shall see 🤪.
I have to familiarise myself with Mediterranean dishes too, seems that those are full of spices and herbs as well, that’s great for our heart health!
